Advice Week focussed on discrimination advice in 2010. As part of the week, we held an event at the House of Commons to:
Representatives from the networks participating in WTFA and from frontline agencies were on hand to talk to MPs and peers.
Baroness Verma spoke about the important role of advice agencies and a client of Kalayaan, a member of AdviceUK, talked about how Kalayaan had helped her as a migrant worker to challenge discrimination from her employer.
In spite of the event clashing with the Commons debate on university fees, around 20 Members of Parliament and Peers visited us. There are some photos of the event below.
